Over the past 30 years, China has cracked down on illegal activities related to ozone-depleting substances and strengthened supervision and management of the implementation of the Convention.Since its launch on July 19, the national Integrated service platform for the Transformation of Ecological and Environmental Scientific and technological achievements has had nearly 400 registered users and nearly 40,000 visitors, achieving good results. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment will continue to improve the platform's functions to help fight the battle against pollution. The national Conference on ecological protection in 2019 drew up a grand blueprint of "seven ones" for ecological protection, cui said, adding that the overall work showed "obvious results, steady progress and arduous tasks".In China, a number of advanced examples have emerged to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on ecological progress. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment named the second batch of 45 demonstration cities and counties for ecological civilization construction and 16 practice and innovation bases that "clear water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains," and honored 35 advanced collectives and 54 advanced individuals in the second China Ecological Civilization Award. We have made steady progress in all aspects of ecological protection, adapted to the requirements of the new supervisory functions, and completed the objectives and tasks of this stage in delineating and strictly observing the red lines for ecological protection and in supervising natural protection sites. We must fully and thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on ecological progress and make every effort to meet the requirements of the "seven ones" for ecological protection. We still face a daunting task in realizing the vision of a beautiful China. At present and for some time to come, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will focus on the core task of ecological protection supervision, promote the formation of a new pattern of ecological protection supervision with better mechanisms, stronger supervision and stricter protection, and provide a solid guarantee for the battle against pollution and the building of a beautiful China. Some journalists are interested in the progress of the preparatory work for the 15th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity to be held in Kunming, Yunnan province next year.Cui said that this conference is the first time for the United Nations to hold a global conference under the theme of "ecological civilization", which demonstrates the distinct global significance of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization. The Chinese Government attaches great importance to the preparatory work for the Conference. At present, the preparatory work mechanism has been established and put into full operation.Next, the ecological environment will conscientiously implement the party central committee and the State Council decision deployment, keep close communication with the convention secretariat, earnestly fulfill their obligation to the host country and promoting to develop process framework, comprehensively improve propaganda on the conference, careful to carry out the meeting preparation, ensure that the conference will be a complete success, a landmark meeting. In response to the recent "one-size-fits-all" pollution crackdown in Linyi, Shandong province, Liu said that inaction in normal times and "one-size-fits-all" in emergencies are typical of formalism and bureaucracy, and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has always taken a clear-cut attitude and resolutely opposed it.In the process of environmental law enforcement, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has always stressed the need to take facts as the basis and law as the criterion, and to proceed from reality and act in accordance with the law.In the next step, we will continue to focus on formalism and bureaucratism, including "one-size-fits-all" problems. We will investigate and deal with all of them, hold those responsible to account, and never tolerate them.At the same time, we will maintain composure, strictly enforce the law, act in accordance with the law, and perform our duties responsibly. We will urge localities and departments that normally do not perform their duties to earnestly strengthen day-to-day supervision, solve the problem of "one size cuts" at the source, and earnestly safeguard the environmental rights and interests of the people and the legitimate rights and interests of law-abiding enterprises.
